This Privacy Policy explains how Triponomy ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and
protects information when you use the Triponomy mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Account information — If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google's OAuth service.
- Trip plans — Places, routes, and preferences you create are saved locally on your device. When you choose to share a plan, a copy is stored on our servers and linked to your account. We do not automatically upload your saved trips to our servers without your action.
Information collected automatically:
- Location — With your permission, we use your device's location to show nearby places and to enable route planning. Location coordinates are transmitted to our servers to calculate routes, discover places of interest, and retrieve weather information. These coordinates are not persistently stored after the request is processed.
- Search queries — Place names and partial queries you type into location search fields are sent to our servers to return autocomplete results.
- Usage data — We collect anonymised data about which points of interest are selected (category and coordinates only) to improve place recommendations. No personally identifiable information is included in this data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the App's core features (route planning, place discovery, weather information).
- To process location coordinates and search queries in order to return routes, nearby places, and autocomplete results.
- To authenticate you and manage your PRO subscription via RevenueCat.
- To generate and serve shared trip links when you choose to share a plan.
- To display relevant advertisements via Google AdMob (free tier only).

4. Data Retention and Deletion
Trip plans saved locally remain on your device until you delete them. Shared plans stored
on our servers are linked to your account. You can delete your account at any time from
the Settings screen inside the App, which will permanently remove all server-side data
associated with your account.
5. Children's Privacy
Triponomy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant
changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after
changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
