Its bronze-cast barrel has an internal diameter of 890mm, and an external diameter of 1.2 m. It was cast in 1586 in Moscow, by the Russian master bronze caster Andrey Chokhov. The spherical cast-iron projectiles in front of the cannon - each of which weighs approximately 1 tonne, made in 1834.
